Standing up for working people and the institutions that keep our community strong.
What This Campaign Is About
Mitchell County is being shaped by decisions that affect our schools, our healthcare, and whether working families can afford to stay here. This campaign is about speaking up for the people who live and work here, asking harder questions, and planning ahead instead of waiting for the next crisis.
Why I'm Running
I was born in Spruce Pine in 1991. My grandpa worked in the mines here for fifty years, and my family still lives in the house he built on Altapass.Today I work second shift as a janitor at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital. It’s honest work, and it keeps me connected to the everyday realities of life in this community.I’m running for County Commissioner as a Democrat because I believe county government should stand up for working people and protect the institutions our communities depend on.We need leadership that plans for the long term, tells the truth, and asks hard questions before problems turn into crises.
What I Stand For
These are the priorities I will bring to county government:
Strong public schools for every child in Mitchell County
Healthcare close to home and support for our local hospital
Honest, transparent leadership that works for ordinary people
Local jobs and long-term economic stability
Preparing our community for emergencies before they become disasters
Let's get to work
Volunteer, get updates, or help support the campaign.
